Dr. Eerica Flippin, is an LPC in the state of Virginia, Originally from Apex, North Carolina, Dr. Flippin relocated to Short Pump, VA in 2013. Dr. Flippin has always been an avid learner and has enjoyed a robust educational career. Dr Flippin has obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice (Shaw University); Master of Science in Psychology (Capella University); Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology (Argosy University); Doctor of Education in Pastoral Community Counseling (Argosy University); and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (The Chicago School of Professional Psychology).
Dr. Flippin believes in the importance of building a positive rapport with clients to provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging experience. She seeks to establish a warm and caring relationship with her clients to assist in identifying the root cause of their mental health needs and develop more awareness to the interconnectedness between their brain and body. This allows Dr. Flippin to support clients in developing the necessary skills to gain self-awareness, increase self-esteem, and to work toward living a more balanced and meaningful life. Dr. Flippin is an ASAM certified Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) provider. Dr Flippin’s specializations includes Clinical Assessment, Dissertation Chair, Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, and Employment Counseling.
Dr. Flippin and her clients will work together to create a personalized treatment plan that meets the specific needs of the client. Dr. Flippin employs the use of client-centered and solution-focused approaches to therapy with a focus on the clients’ strengths. Her mission is to collaborate with clients to assist them with achieving their goals, identifying solutions to their issues, and overcoming the barriers life has put in their way. Moreover, Dr. Flippin will help clients find the motivation and support they need to achieve the quality of life they deserve.
