Cori Boone, RIC

Cori is a Resident in Counseling with a background in psychology and school counseling, and over six years of experience in both the mental health and education fields. I’ve worked various positions over the years including substitute teaching, ABA therapy, and a site director for daycare. My work has allowed me to develop a deep passion for supporting the younger generation of teens and young adults, particularly those who may be navigating identity, transitions, or emotional challenges.

I have worked closely with neurodivergent individuals, including those on the autism spectrum, and I prioritize creating a space where clients feel safe, accepted, and understood. Building trust and genuine rapport is central to my approach, as I believe meaningful progress happens when clients feel comfortable enough to show up as their authentic selves. I aim to meet each client where they are, offering support that is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to their individual needs.

When I am not working, I love to indulge in a few of my favorite hobbies including going for walks, finding something creative or active to get into, or my personal favorite- binging TV and movies! You may catch an occasional movie or TV reference thrown in throughout our sessions because I like to use humor as a way to show that therapy doesn’t have to be serious and intimidating. I’m human just like you, and want this to feel like a space where you don’t have to be perfect- just a place where you can show up as yourself and share.
